Confused in this world,
Of hope and despair,
It's so hard to breathe,
Just need a gasp of air,
To keep me alive,
On this cold, lonely path,
Alone I must walk,
To face the world's wrath,
Not sure if I'll make it,
Not even halfway,
I just keep going,
Keep going day by day,
They tell me I'll make it,
But them I don't believe,
Only the harsh ones,
Who make me want to leave,
Leave this path that I'm walking,
As slow as can be,
I can only hope that at the end,
I'm still the same old me.
