Teenage Years

Broken hearts,
Too many tarts,
Breakin' rules,
Must be cool,
No more toys,
Obsessed with boys,
Friendships made to last,
Ended way to fast,
Homework piles,
Working on cute smiles,
Pictures for Myspace,
All the way to fourth base,
Party too hard,
Throw up in the yard,
Must look like her,
Boys you'll lure,
Make-up galore,
Must have more,
Dresses here and there,
Dates don't care,
College coming fast,
High school won't last,
We'll always remember these,
These teenage years♥

He says hi,
As I walk by,
I faintly grin,
For I know I can't win,

Nature

Stars speckled against the sky,
Brilliant colors swirl in the morning light,
The sun dances around the world,
Or stands proudly at her station,

Trees whisper to each other,
And birds sing themselves to sleep,
Grass swings in the breeze,
And butterflies twitter across the yard,

Squirrels chatter through mouthfulls of nuts,
And snails slowly inch across the ground,
Nature and it's natural ways,
Just listen to what it says.

Love

Love may hurt,
Love may make you cry,
Love can bring pain,
It can make you want to die,

But when love works out,
It makes you laugh,
It makes you smile,
It makes you happy,

So just remember when your broken hearted,
And all you wanna do is die,
Love is still out there,
And it will let you fly.

Possible Contest Entry

Here is an excerpt from something I might enter in a contest:

I felt the gentle chills of the snow land on my face and catch in my hair. I softly trudged down my street through the snow and watched the trees gracefully sway in the wind. When I reached the park at the other end of my neighborhood I plopped myself down on the bench and watched the clouds swirl around the sky. I silently looked around to see if anyone was glancing my way and when I was positive there was no one around I stuck my tongue out of my mouth into the chilly December air in attempt to catch a snowflake. My tongue got chills as one too many landed themselves upon my tongue and I threw myself into the white, snowy ground in an attempt to stop my boredom. While I was staring at all of the soft, gentle flakes landing on the ground I couldn't help but think wow.
